My dark art pieces confront themes such as mortality, resilience, identity, conflict, transformation, and the subconscious. My Inspiration Some of the elements I draw from for my art are the gothic and surrealist movements, myths, psychological archetypes, real-life narratives as well as artists who engage with darkness as a form of empowerment and social critique. My Technique Some of my techniques include layering mixed media, incorporating unconventional materials, and using chiaroscuro effects to highlight tension between light and darkness. A majority of my art employs a blend of nuanced textures, shadow play, and sometimes stark contrasts to create a visceral atmosphere. |

Run not from the darkness Shield not from the light Embrace the darkness as much as the light. Without the dark how can we know light? Both are one and the same Separate yet joined. Without dark light has no meaning They are two phases of the same energy In darkness there is light And in light there is darkness Embrace both equally. |
